I was born on May 29th, 1987 in chennai. My father D.Jayakumar is a former MLA in Royapuram constituency Chennai and Former minister of fisheries in AMMA’S government. He also served as the Speaker of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for a year. My father is an ardent follower of Anna, MGR and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma.
I completed my undergraduate and Post Graduate studies at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute and Iam a doctor by profession. I have been activiely Involved in organising medical camps and social welfare initiatives while completing my MBBS and MD in General Medicine at Rama Chandra Medical College.
In 2014, Amma Handpicked me to contest the SOUTH CHENNAI constituency in the Lok sabha Elections, with the blessings of PURAICHI THALAIVI AMMA I had become the youngest member of parliament at the age of 26.
Since then , I have been actively engaged in bringing progressive agendas and schemes that are beneficial to South Chennai constituency. I have been a advocate for student movements and community initiatives that are good for the society and protested against Drug Menace and In-equality. I have always been in pursue of progressive change and inclusive future for the people of South Chennai.
